Nutritious Noontime Meals for Homebound Seniors
Are you homebound and unable to prepare your own meals? The Nutrition Program (Meals on Wheels) delivers hot noon meals to frail and isolated older adults six days a week. The meals are provided to seniors age 60 and older who are homebound, physically or mentally unable to prepare their own meals, and are without family or other resources to help with meal preparation. Special diets (diabetic, bland, strict sodium, cut meat, pureed, and other) are available. Each home delivered meal applicant is assessed to determine program eligibility and any other services needed to assist in living as independently as possible.
