Seniors enjoy a Healthy Aging class The Healthy Aging Program helps older adults, 60 years of age or older, live healthier, more active lifestyles.

The program’s wellness promotion component provides classes that encourage lifestyle changes to improve one’s overall health. Class topics include nutrition, stress management, infectious diseases, chronic diseases, and English for Speakers of Other Languages.

The program also has a health screening component that provides clinics that screen for commonly occurring health problems in older adults. Screenings include blood pressure, hearing, physical exams, osteoporosis, medication evaluations, diabetes, cancer, podiatry, influenza and pneumonia immunizations and other related services. Referrals are made to a physician if potential problems are detected or suspected.
