Become a Senior Center Volunteer!
Program DescriptionMake a difference - volunteer at your local Senior Center! Senior Centers are social hubs for active older adults who gather for lunch and activities to nourish the mind, body and spirit. There are a wide variety of activities and they vary from center to center.
Volunteer Opportunities Center volunteers greet and orient new participants, provide clerical and reception support services, and perform outreach into the community to increase awareness and participation.

Volunteers possessing specific skills are highly sought after to teach one-time or ongoing classes. Examples of current classes include Tai Chi, computer training, art and dance among others.
Volunteer Requirements
  • Be people oriented and reliable.
Training and Support Volunteers work in close partnership with the staff at each center for specific training, orientation and support. No minimum hours are required.
Contact Person To volunteer, locate the Senior Center most convenient to you and contact the center supervisor to discuss volunteer opportunties at that center.
